2025 - It's been a great year!

Every state has different Homebrew rules and regulations and it was one of AHA’s earliest goals to legalize homebrewing in all 50 states. This year my goal was to increase my homebrew production to 100 gallons. This was mainly with the aim of improving repeatability, dialing in my equipment profile and win more medals.

Well my 100th gallon is in the fermenter and doing well. This is a Double Dry-Hopped IPA from a recipe I made up after reading three years of NHC medal-winning recipes. Well that, and my desire to use up a bunch of hops I’ve accumulated!

Now I have to work out what my 2026 goal is!

Congratulations on reaching your brewing goal

100 gallons in a year sounds like a fun goal!

Congratulations!

I had a great 2025 also - one of my primary goals was to do more “small” (2.5 to 3 gallon) batches - a third of mine hit this mark. It allowed me to branch into some new styles and new recipes I wouldn’t have enjoyed otherwise!
