87.9% apparent attenuation...

with 001. Started at 1.052, finished at 1.006. Mashed an APA at 152. 3 week primary, dry hopped after 2. Normal vigorous 001 ferment. Tasted good at kegging, no off flavors I can detect, albeit a bit boozy tasting, but I find that most of my beers have that flavor when they are green.

I’ve never had one finish that low. Anything I should worry about?

Fermented at 67, and dropped to 65 at 2 weeks for dryhop

I just got 86.5% with 1056.  Beer tastes great.  I wouldn’t worry about yours.

Cool, thanks Denny

+1.  That strain just goes a little crazy sometimes…

Not to mention that a lot depends on your wort.  I recently got 88.1% with 1450 with a fermentable wort.

That got me thinking a bit. I’ve done a number of apa/session ales, but this one seems to have the least crystal, and looking at my notes I mashed at 151.

7 pds 2 row
2.5 pds pilsen
14oz carapils
8 oz wheat
8 oz crys 40

I had a Rauchbier fermented with 2565 go from 1.054 to 1.004. My beer is still drinking fine.

I just brewed an extract version of Jamil’s Evil Twin and it went from 1.067 down to 1.010 with Safale US-05 so that was about 82% attentuation but yours blows mine out of the water haha

I’ve several of my golden strongs start at 1.070-1.075, and they usually finish at 1.006-1.008. I use wyeast 1388 usually. They all taste pretty good!  If you like the way it comes out, don’t worry about the numbers.
