Abita Wrought Iron: I am a big fan of IPA’s and this one did not disappoint. Hop list includes: Apollo, Mosaic, and Equinox. In fact it inspired my brewday this past weekend. If it turns out half as good I will be happy.

Same with me. I have never enjoyed any of their beers. Glad to hear they are getting better.
I’ve never liked one of theirs, either. I like the hop combo they’re using here. Might be good.
Their regular lineup has traveled poorly for a long time. They have been doing a lot of upgrades recently (they recently switched to a more traditional German manufactured brewhouse rather than the Merlin which I thought left most of their beers thin-bodied), though, and seem to be trying to try new things. Wrought Iron is certainly a lot better than Jockamo.
Ya know what, I spoke too soon. I had one of their beers (I think Andygator) at the beach last October and thought it was much improved. Glad they have started to turn things around.
In NOLA with cajun food, Abita Amber is pretty good. Maybe because it was often the best choice?

Agreed. I did have a few of those with the great food last time I was there.
The landscape has improved a lot in the past couple of years (although NOLA Blonde is the best option in a fair number of places). That being said, there is a lot more Creole food in NOLA than Cajun food.
The NOLA food scene is diverse and rich. No offense meant in my misapplication of terminology.
