Albuquerque & Santa Fe

I’m looking to visit 1-2 breweries in each city during my family vacation in June. My preference is for a brewpub with a good selection of beers with <7 % alc. beer, preferably served at temperatures you can taste the beer.  Good food is important for the other family members, but doesn’t need to be fancy.  I like most beers except lagers.  Thanks

Marble Brewery in Albuquerque, especially on weekend nights when they have live music on the porch, and 2nd Street brewery in Santa Fe.  Both have great beer and food.

I liked Blue Corn Brewery in Santa Fe. Santa Fe Brewing Co is great to, but they don’t have food.

Thanks for the recommendations

Any thoughts about Nexus Brewery in ABQ?

Not even worth a stop. La Cumbre and Il Vicino are the best in town.

Nexus, La Cumbre and Marble are worth hitting up in Albuquerque. IMO Marble has the best atmosphere, Nexus has the best food (southwest twist on soul food), and La Cumbre has the best beer.

In Santa Fe stop at Santa Fe Brewing and if you skipped marble in Albuquerque they have a tap room in Santa Fe on the plaza.

Thanks for the info on Nexus.  When on family vacations, I have to keep the family happy so good food is often the most important criterion for choosing a brew pub.

Okay, I am bringing up a 2 year old thread, but I will be in Albuquerque in 3 weeks for 3 nights, and thought I would bump this for any updated info on good beers and food, as the beer scene changes a lot in two years.

Buehler?

La Cumbre had some outstanding beers. Il Vicino has pretty good beer and really good pizza.

Nexus food was good and was the only brewery I stopped at.  La Cumbre is featured in this month’s Zymurgy.

Thanks.  I definitely have a game plan. La Cumbre looks pretty good.

Back from Albuquerque.  Yes, La Cumbre is excellent. Their IPAs are killer, but what I enjoyed the best was the Saison d’Hommel.  That was amazing.

Il Vicino was very good, too.  Had a couple of IPAs there.  Guy I work with really enjoyed their take on Mexican lager.

But if you want a place to eat, avoid the pub food and eat Mexican.  We hit El Modelo (take out cheap food that was the best, no beer), Sadie’s, and El Patron.  Really, really good.
