Anvil Kettle Dimensions

Does anyone know if the Anvil Brewing kettle dimensions are the same as the Blichmann G2.  None of the online vendors seem to have anything except the 1.2 ratio of height to width.

I sent a request to Anvil to see if they could provide a datasheet.

If they are the same as the G2, it would help make the Breweasy a little less expensive.

Thanks.

They aren’t based on the g2. They appear to be very similar to the Northern Brewer offerings. They are still a bit on the expensive side, but I do like the finer graduations on the inside.

Edit - I’m wondering why they spun it off as a different brand. Are the items imported and they wanted to differentiate between the other products that are American made?

Since you know the height is 1.2x the diameter, the approximate height and diameter can be  calculated from the volume.

The volume in cubic inches is listed below for the 4 kettle sizes:
5.5G =1270.5 in^3
7.5G = 1732.5 in^3
10G = 2310 in^3
15G = 3465 in^3

D= 2R [in^3]
H= 1.2D = 2.4R
V [in^3] = PI * 2.4* R^3
PI= 3.14

D= 2* cubedroot(V/(7.54)) [inches]
H= 1.2*D [inches]

Thanks for this.

I did receive an email back from Anvil:

Here are the dimensions.
10 gallon Height-16 3/4"  Diameter-13 3/4"
15 gallon Height-19"      Diameter-16"
20 gallon Height-21 1/4"  Diameter-17 3/4"

They are comparable to the G2 sizes within 1/2".

I’m so torn between a Breweasy or Zymatic for my winter brewing.  Both are definitely a chunk of change so I want to make sure I choose correctly.

The 120v 5 gallon breweasy is attractive. I feel it would offer more flexibility, but lacks the automation. I guess it depends on what you are trying to get out of a system.

I’m going over to see a friend’s BrewEasy on Sunday. Shoot me an email if you want to talk about the Zymatic, so I don’t sully the thread.  :wink:
