Anybody besides me still use this

Been using this for almost 30 years and lost count on how many pounds of grain has went through this. Definitely well over a ton.  Only mod was to cutoff the handle.  Completely dustless operation

Can crush 10 lbs of grain in no time even when taking time to refill my hopper which handles about 6lbs of grain.

PhilMill? Not me, but I’m still using my 20+ year old JSP

The PhilMill was my first mill. I think it’s still somewhere in my shop (aka The Black Hole)

Put me down for a JSP as well. I’ve replaced drills used to power it but the mill is rock steady.

My PhilMill wore out about 15 years ago. I do still have a Phil’s sparger aka whirlygig that I keep on my brewshelf as a reminder of yesteryear.

JSP for many years at this point - mine has a bucket mounted with a 1" hole and the same kind of funnel stuck in the hole to feed the grain into the mill’s housing.  Works like a champ.  I can’t guess how many pounds of grain have gone through that mill.  It’s a workhorse.  Built by Jack Schmidling, I power it with a motor that is the same as  Malt Mill sells.

I had a JSP mill for many years until the rollers wore down enough and my efficiency went to hell.  It was the preset version.  I loved the mill but after Jack Schmidling’s shop was destroyed in a fire and he went out of business, I bought a Crankaandstein three roller mill and really like it.

Just my .02
