Patrick Rue started homebrewing in 2003 during his first year of law school, which ignited a passion for great beer and the creative process of brewing. He followed his passion and founded The Bruery, which began production in 2008. Celebrating it’s third year in business, Patrick’s role at The Bruery has changed from doing just about everything to managing a company of 35 talented individuals. Recent accomplishments include opening The Bruery Provisions, a craft beer, wine and cheese store/tasting room in Old Towne Orange. The Bruery is distributed in 21 states and 4 countries. The Bruery strives to be a leading creative force in the craft brewing world. From now until Aug. 14, Patrick will be taking questions on how a homebrewer goes about opening a brewery and moving into the world of commercial brewing. If you’d like to ask him a question, please email it to AskTheExperts@brewersassociation.org . Answers will be posted sometime around Aug. 22-24st.
Cool. The Bruery puts out some mighty fine beers.
Hi,
Questions to Patrick Rue
“Answers will be posted sometime around Aug. 22-24st.”
When will answers be posted?
-Cheers
I hope very soon. I’ve had some personal issues that have prevented me from following up in this like I should. I’ll get back on top of things next week.
Hope everything is alright.
Just a lot of family stuff requiring unplanned travel all over the US for most of Aug.
Thanks Denny.
So, don’t take this as me being pushy or anything, but, should I give up hope on this? Was really looking forward to it since I had questions, myself.
I can understand the family stuff, though. Have three relatives who’re on their way out.
I’ll check in with Patrick and hopefully we’ll have the answers soon.
Hey All,
The answers are posted! You can read the whole Q & A here: Enjoy! http://bit.ly/po7A0U
Am I the only one unable to access this? it keeps telling me to login, then giving me a 500 error when I click the button. Frustrating . . .
I had the same problem
I had a problem also. Emailed The AHA and they had me reenter password and no problems. Good info.
Yep, same here. I think it has to do with the new database the AHA is using.
I still can’t access it even after an email and a changed password. Will try again later.
I can’t even get that far, it never asks for my email and password. I hit the login button and it gives me a 500 error. :-\
Even though it gave me the 500, it did log me in. Great Q&A!!!
Not for me. It goes 500, then I chop out the first part of the url so I’m just left with:
http://www.homebrewersassociation.org/pages/lets-brew/ask-the-experts/patrick-rue
And then it takes me right to the login page again.
Try logging in on the home page of the AHA website, in the upper left corner. In the meantime, I’m gonna see if I can get somebody from the AHA to take a look at this thread.
Yeah, I tried that too and it just bounces me back to the home page, where it still says login in the top left corner.
