Auber EZ Boil

This is awesome:

Wow that looks really interesting. Anyone have any experience with it?

Pretty cool.

I will soon. [emoji6]

The knob has switch on it that switches from mash to boil.

Very cool.  Auber makes great stuff.  I use their TD100 temp controller for my fermentation freezer.

What’s really cool is it requires no setup. Out of the box you just set the dial to a mash temp and the advanced PID technology is adaptive.

I use Auber’s similar unit to control my boil kettle element. It works very well.

Worth the money!

My issue with PIDs has always been the interface. This simplifies it immensely. 1 click. 1 dial. 2 functions. I’m sold.

Aren’t you an engineer? I thought you people loved complicated sh*t?

On the contrary! We like to simplify complicated shit!

So I see…

There is something to be said for rotary encoders. Look at the original I pods. Simple and quick navigation with a single thumb. I will seriously consider this when I resume my quest to going electric.
