Avery Depuceleuse No 4.

Depuceleuse–No. 4
From Avery Brewery
Quote"Depuceleuse Flavor Description:
A 100% brettanomyces fermentation gives this brew lots 'o funk throughout, intertwined with pungent elements of sour cherries, delicate aromas of aged wood and a gentle spice imparted by the zinfandel barrels.  Adventurous and true to the spirit of our Barrel-Aged Series of one-and-done brews, Depuceleuse is a forceful departure from the mindset of traditional beer style and features a harmony of intriguing flavors.  "

Ok Mikey if you went to the release tasting, please update us with your opinion.
If / when I get my six-pack I will chime in as well…

Yep, I was there. The beer was fantastic. The cherries blended into the sourness of the beer perfectly. Not too strong, but slightly more than a hint. It’s my favorite of the barrel aged releases so far!

Hey Dave, john got your 6-er and sent it back up to Casper with one of our friends, let me know what you think when you get it.

Mike I did get the beer…I am not ready to taste it quite yet…
Maybe after I rack some beer back out of the solera barrel
and when I put in cherries.

Picture of that beer…

Taste notes, oak is present mid palate. Nice pie cherry flavors. Some bitter remains like the cherry pit perhaps…
Not over the top but pretty balanced flavor of cherry/malt.  Good Job Adam!

I spiked my Oak cask with the dregs of a couple bottles… ;D…we will see what lives in there…

Looks like it was a good day in Casper!  8)
