I know that I am not the only one who has experienced this phenomenon, but DMS in lager is easy to detect after drinking a few ales. My sensory perception of DMS is that it smells like butter beans (baby lima beans). Sierra Nevada Octoberfest reeks of DMS after drinking a few ales.
