Can any of y’all Indiana folks hook up a YouTuber with some lees from time to time?

This is not me, just a channel I follow fairly closely.

Love Townsend’s. We’ve talked about it on the podcast.

I’ve been a subscriber to Townsends for a long time. Have tried many of their recipes including ginger beer. Wish they would delve a little deeper into beer recipes and making them.

If you could do it period-accurate, he might come to you - not sure.

The original question came from watching his older videos on 18th century cooking, eight or so episode series on bread - came up the bakers buying retired yeast from the brewers.

Could be a good collaboration for any of the Indiana folks in here.

Where is he located. My Google Fu was weak. I grew up in Indiana, but that was a universe a long time ago and far, far away.

His business is registered in Pierceton, IN.

Thanks. About an hour from where I grew up.

I was in Pierceton on Saturday.  Visiting my wife’s niece.  No idea there might be something to check out while I was there. It’s a 7+ hour drive from Des Moines.  Always a day late.

Their address is: 133 N 1st St, Pierceton, IN 46562. The store might be under their original name, James Townsend and Sons… with James using the old world abbreviation “Jas”.
