Baseball season just around the corner...

Who’s your team?  How are they going to do?

I am a Twins fan (the homer that I am), obviously the Mauer signing is huge.  But I think their starting pitching (which is still young) will be improved.  They should be top 5 offensively with their lineup, which is the streghth of the team.  But the main question is again the bullpen, especially with Nathan out for the season.  Oh…and it’s an exciting first year in Target Field (not the damn Metrodome).

How about your team?

Red Sox.  And they are going to win it all, of course!!!

GO PHILLIES!!!

Go Brewers! How could any Homebrewer not like the Brewers!

Because they are from Milwaukee  ;D ::slight_smile:

Here we go Yankees, Here we go!!!

Cardinals, and it seems like it should be a good season.

Do I even gotta? sigh guess so!

Yankees Suck!

(but not nearly as much as Jose Canseco when he “played” for the Sox)

The CUBS!!!

Who won the last game that meant anything in MLB…That’s right, the Yankees!!!

But on a different note, let’s go Rangers! The kids should only improve with another year under their belt and I think they made some pretty saavy moves this off-season. If Hamilton stays healthy and Borbon and Andrus steal 30-40 each, could be their year to at least win the West.

Braves since the 60’s

Thick and thin, ups and downs.

Cheering throughout the 90’s and now this crap.

I wouldn’t call Bobby Cox’s last year crap. You have the CF of the future in Heyward, Hudson is pitching lights out right now. Prado will be a solid replacement for Chipper. I think the Brave’s will compete for the wildcard, but the Phils are the toast of the town in the NL East. Halladay will win 23 games and have a sub-3.00 ERA. I’m a grown man, but I get goosebumps watching Doc pitch. Just something about him. Haven’t seen it since Nolan. Just pure grit and determination.

I beg forgiveness. I hope Bobby’s last year is his best.

I know things change but I pine for the Maddox/Glavin/Smoltz rotation. I was watching the night Mark Wohlers lost “it”. My heart sunk. I knew it was the beginning of the end. I want Sid Bream to slide into home just one more time.

But we move on…

Maybe the best is yet to come.

I did say through ups and downs. ;D

No forgiveness asked of. Those days were when I fell in love with baseball. Although you forgot my favorite lefty of the group, the oft-forgotten Steve Avery.

Ah! Steve. I remember like it was yesterday.

Kerry Lightinburg, Terry Mulholland…they let a lot of good ones get away.

But lets not dwell on the past. Done is done.

2010 is THE year. Go Braves

Now that just gets my goat

Cubs for me too.  Time to start drinking Old Style and PBR again! 8)

The Indians.  They’ll suck this year.  A friend and I have a bet on who will lose more games - The Indians or the Pirates.  My money’s on the Indians.

Go Cavs!  (I say this even though, as a Cleveland sports fan, I know they’ll probably get bounced in the first round regardless of their best-in-league regular season record).

Don’t even get me started on my beloved Browns…  :frowning:

The Orioles have a ton of young talent.  I just don’t think they’ll be able to put it together this year for a winning season.  There will be one soon, though…

Go Stars!!!

A little shoutout to my local, minor league team.  ;D

I used to follow the Orioles when I could make the short trip to Memorial Stadium, then to Camden Yards. But I’m just a local, home town team guy now and do not follow the majors.
