BCS Championship

Wow, what a great (yawn) game last night. Notre Dame really showed us what all the legend was about … I was asleep by the third quarter…

Yawn… sorry.

A friend of my wife works for ND. Over the holidays she said it was a miracle season, and they could have  easily been 8-4 or 7-5. Her prediction for the BCS game came true - “Were going to get killed.” Hope she enjoyed the weather.

“We’re such a legend we deserve our own TV deal…”
“We’re such a legend we don’t need to be in a conference…”
“We’re such a legend we still deserve conference tie-in perks…”
“We’re such a legend blah blah blah…”

Man, so glad to see them get waxed

I had the game on for background as I was doing other stuff last night.  Part way through the 2nd, my Tivo wanted to change the channel to record a rerun of “The Big Bang Theory”…and I let it.

Congrats to Alabama and their fans!

RUDY! RUDY! RUDY!

Pretty much what I expected. Notre Dame had a great season but Bama has real NFL players.

I thought it was going to be a “slug fest” like all the “analysts” predicted.

Legen…wait for it…DARY!  I was confident and had originally predicted Bama 24 -17, but after watching Ole Miss just destroy Pitt (Pitt missed FG in OT against ND and Bama boot stomped Ole Siss) in their bowl game, I changed my prediction to 34 - 10.

Bama has 9 seniors and is one of the youngest teams in the nation.  We’ll lose a few Jrs to the NFL, but we currently have what many feel is another #1 recruiting class coming in.

Sorry Lou.

die hard football fan here, and BBT fan also, with that poor showing, I switched to BBT mid second quarter.

SEC!!!

I didn’t know Notre Dame was a high school.

I turned it off after Alabama’s third drive.  I had some paint I needed to watch dry.

Rudy was offsides.

who else but Notre Dame makes a two hour movie to explain why you ran up the score against Georgia Tech?!?

I almost never bet on sports but 2 of my employees pretty much insisted on betting against Bama so this morning I’m $30 richer.  I predicted 28-7, but I really hoped it wouldn’t turn out as ugly as it did.  Regardless I’m a die hard Bama fan so I watched it to the end.
This may seem strange, but I always like reading the hometown paper of a team that gets whacked like that, and I give South Bend credit for acknowledging that their team is still a couple of steps from the big leagues.

It would have been interesting to see how a Notre Dame-OSU game played out.

I think Oregon and Alabama would have been a much better game

The difference being that OSU could actually have played were they not a filthy pack of cheaters.

Define OSU: Oregon State, Ohio State, Oklahoma State?

He’s talking Ohio State.  They probably would have played ND had they not been on probation
