Can’t argue that. The Whopper is one of the better tasting burgers for the money. I try to avoid fast food at all costs, but sometimes, with the job, it’s the only source of food. I’ll take a Whataburger over a Whopper though…
Big, big mistake happening here folks.
Why is that? Other than the beer selection that is.
I’m looking at from a business angle - not as a consumer.
Perception is going to be hard to over come from parents who will view this as a “beer joint” now. Kids have a huge influence on parent’s choice where to eat, especially at fast food places like BK, McD’s, etc… Not all, but a lot will choose not to trade there because of it. Perception being the key word here. They are going to lose a lot of customers.
At the same time they will gain a lot of customers, which is the goal. I can imagine a lot of “freebies” to friends from the workers which already occurs with the other products in these type establishments. I’m going to get blasted for saying that but we all know it happens. The liability is going to be huge. A drunken underage person slam into a family on the way home and admits their friend slipped them beer. Shudder at the thought.
I guess BK doesn’t have a legal department that reviews these things first.
Personally and as a consumer I think it should be a federal law that every food establishment should have to have on tap at least 10 different beers, 15 on Saturday, 24 hours a day.
Remember, this is limited areas. I don’t recall seeing many children around South Beach.
And if every person they gain is due to the beer, they’re up. Lose 1 kid meal, gain 1 adult meal + a beer sale.
I think it will work. I mean who doesn’t like a beer with their burger. I think they will have to target their locations. South Beach should be a good location.
Time will tell.
Rally’s. Big Buford kills any other burger, any time. Whoopers just taste like butt to me. In fact, even just typing the word “Whooper”, makes me throw up in my mouth a little bit.
Take a look at a picture of a 1/4# Double Cheeseburger and then order one from the dollar menu. Try and imagine how they ever made that picture. How can this be legal?
A dollar menu with a beer is the way to go. Well, that is how I roll! 
I used to think that about 20 years ago. I won’t go into a BK now, period. Or a Hardy’s. On occasion I will hit a McDonalds or a Wendy’s.
I’ve had beer at McDonalds and Burger King in Europe starting back in 1981-nothing beats a good dunkles with a Big Mac. But I don’t really see it working as well over here. In New Mexico anybody who serves or sells alcohol has to be licensed which means attending classes, license renewal classes, etc so the training costs would be prohibitive here, especially considering the turnover rate at these joints.
Maybe, but at least a few people will probably realize they can raise children and act like adults at the same time. Anything that chips away at the cultural stigma associated with drinking is a win in my book.
What about “Whopper”? Can you type “Whopper”?

I agree that Burger king used to make some pretty good burgers, but their quality has really gone down hill. I’m pretty much done with them.
At least at McDonald’s, if there’s something you like or dislike at one particular location, you’ll most likely feel the same way at another location.
