Aloha from Hawaii! My wife purchased Beer Smith for me several years ago as a Christmas Present. It worked fine up until about 2 weeks ago when I tried to access it and it said my Beer Smith was expired and I needed to purchase Beer Smith 2. I was just wondering if anyone else had this issue. Why should I have to purchase a new Beer Smith 2 program when my old program (which was legally purchased)was working but is now blocked and no longer working?

It might be worth posting at the BeerSmith forum. Brad seems to respond pretty quickly to questions there.
My old copy of 1.4 opened just fine, so you should still be able to use yours.
Do you still have your product activation key (email or on the CD case)? Sounds like it lost activation and got put into the 21 day trial.
You are probably not the first person to have experienced this. I bet if you search the beersmith forums you’ll find an answer faster than Brad (the developer) can get back to you.
