Bluesman’s been hard at work with construction. I saw the building when it was empty and it felt big enough for an airplane hanger, though I’m sure it won’t seem that big when filled with brewing equipment. He also just announced a name change (from Warlock) to Blue Earl Brewing Company.

I really like the new logo too. And I hear rumor that there will be a music stage.
I’m wondering if Southern Tier had something to do with the name change. The pictures he is posting are awesome. The place looks huge! I’m hoping to get down that way to check it out later this year.

Trademarks are a legal minefield. Unlike other forms of intellectual property, trademarks are forever unless abandoned the owner.

I was never crazy about “Warlock Brewing” anyway. Too Harry Potter-esque. And the new logo is very cool, though it reminds me of “Miller” for some reason. Did miller have a logo with a guitar for some promotion? Regardless, I like it!
Maybe this one? A Google search brings up lots of guitar themed beer promos. Enough by different brands that I doubt anyone can claim they ‘own’ the guitar as a symbol.
That must be it. As a graphics guy I tend to store every logo I see somewhere in the back of my mind.
