Paranoid about my 65 degree basement although its only failed to carb once with a 8.3% IIPA. I think 8 or 9 successes. Would it be better to use the warmer but fluctuating temp of my non air conditioned house instead? Or even help to move them upstairs after a week or two? thanks
The beer will carb up quicker at warmer temps. You could take it upstairs and be fine - lots of Belgian breweries bottle condition at ~ 80F.
Fluctuations that small should be OK but I’d try to find a closet or something without a heat vent to smooth out the temperature swings.
So i moved the belgian strong upstairs in a closed cabinet and left the ESB down in the 65 degrees. so far anyway. Wonder how long before i stop being paranoid about temperatures. thanks guys.
