Breaking New Ground with WY1450

I pressed cider last weekend and ended up with just over 20 gallons.  I decided to freeze most of it for future enjoyment and possible fermentation.  For now, I pitched WY1450 into 5 gallons.  It took right off and I have it fermenting at 63 degrees.  Looking forward to seeing how it comes out.  I used US05 in a batch this summer and it turned out great.  I wonder if the WY1450 will enhance the body a bit?

Has anybody tried this before?

I have not but interested to hear your results. Ive recently used WL775-compared to the dry yeast i’ve used for cider (nottingham) its more apple fruit taste and nice and dry.

Nope, haven’t tried it.  But my experience is that yeast doesn’t make a whole lot of difference in cider.

I used a gallon of cider in a braggot with 1450, but that was only a month ago. Haven’t sampled it yet, and probably won’t until around December.
