My hops that were supposed to arrive yesterday still aren’t here, so I need to call an audible on today’s recipe. I’ve brewed it a bunch so that’s not the end of the world. Pretty basic Maibock: 67/33 Weyermann Pils/Munich 1, 16°P, ~30 IBU. The hops were supposed to be 27 g Brewer’s Gold FWH (90 min) and 27 g at 15 min.
I do have a bunch of stuff not listed but it’s all in the citrus/tropical vein. The boil won’t actually start until about 1 PM (MDT) so I have some time to think about it.
What should I hop the Maibock with?
- Spalter (GR)
- Magnum (US)
- Columbus
- Simcoe
- Calypso (why not; I have 180 lb)
