Busy Day

Jeez… don’t you guys have anything better to do?

Really busy today, that’s a good thing!

I have the day off. Have a quadrillion things to do. Currently on the couch. Might be all that gets done today…

I’ve got a million things to do, but with my back injury all I can do is sit here and type.

I am snowed in and sick, so the couch is as far as I am going today.

I hope you feel better Denny! Back problems really suck!

I slipped and fell down a fight of stairs (on the job) back in the mid 90’s. Was out for six weeks with a back injury. Bad experience Denny. I can sympathize greatly. Got a story?

My busy-ness involves sitting on the couch reading the forum for the next while, then I leave for a birthday party.  Anything that was getting done today is already done ;D

What’s up with the back Denny, you didn’t say anything earlier this week?  Are you falling apart or what?

That’s for sure Drew…busiest I’ve seen the forum in some time. Now I’m off to replace brakes on my car.  :frowning:

Maybe tip back a Helles or two…or three.  8)

I worked my ass off all week and am sitting around drinking beer, listening to music and drinking beer and typing on the interwebs and drinking beeer.

Woke up at 6:00 and started brewing.  Finished nice and early, took a little nap, now I’m drinking beer.  Drinking beer and cooking dinner are all I have left on my agenda for the rest of the day.

Well…among other things… Had a Parents Association meeting in the AM, was at the LHBS the moment it opened to get some specialty grains, went home and brewed 10 gallons of APA, cleaned the litter box, vacuumed, cleaned the pellet stove, set the wife up with dour days of fuel, took a shower donned my Captain Amazing costume, drove to the airport and flew to England… Yup. Had a busy day.

If you’ve got the strength to type, you’ve got the strength to hoist a cold one (or two).

My club, the Bloatarian Brewing League, has an auxiliary group: the Bad Back Brewing League. The only requirement to join is that you must have received medical treatment for a back ailment. Our official beer is Bad Back Barleywine. Our motto is, “Because alcohol is a powerful pain reliever”. Our official greeting is, “My advice to you, is to start drinking heavily!”

Hope you feel better soon!

I am at about 6,000 ft. up the side of Mauna Loa in Hawaii Volcanoes Nation Park.  One of our Scouts in Troop 65 is leading his eagle project - planting 700 indigenous Hawaiian trees in a former ranch area in the park.  I have been conscripted to stay at base camp and cook lunch - chicken hekka, sausage fried rice and chili.  The planting crew was supposed to have been down for lunch a half hour ago.  Got a few free minutes, so I thought I’d check the forum via iPhone.  Pretty cool that there is 3G signal this far up in the forest.

Good for your Scout, Eagle since 1975 here

Just finished working on my basement. Moved a bunch of HVAC ductwork and continued framing. The bar is framed in  ;D … But not the kids play area. Time for some homebrew!

The couch has won… 8)

BBC’s Top Gear mega marathon has pulled me in. It’s cold outside and I have beer. No reason to leave the house!

I am at work browsing the forum. Sadly with my two young boys, the only real time
for me to post is at work or late at night. Saturday at an airport the day before a
big football game is pretty quiet.

I did a lot of driving today, one quick business lesson and then work. Not as productive
as most but I did do something.

I’ve been in Ohio for two weeks. Got ten days to go. Today consisted of doing JACK SQUAT! Went out and had breakfast…ran to the mall to get a new thumb ring, then came home and have been doing my “ass in the recliner”  trick all day. Had pizza and wings for dinner. Just watched a few episodes of “The Office” that I downloaded, with my parents. Currently, still doing my trick tipping a Guiness Extra Stout.

That’s a pretty stiff sentence!  What’d ya get busted for?

Its 10pm here time for bed, “whact you talkin about Willis?”
