Can you get drunk on Non-Alcoholic Beer?

The answer is no, of course.

The video in the deadspin link is kinda cool.

Would be a fun experiment…get a bunch of college kids and divide into two groups with half of them drinking non-alcoholic beer.  Neither group knows what they are drinking except that its beer…see what happens.

I had a can of sharps when I was pretty young and until somebody told me it was non-alcoholic I could have sworn I was getting a buzz

My understanding is that none of those beers are totally non alcoholic.  All have at least a fraction of a percent. So I suppose if you drank enough you could get drunk.

The Government seems to think so as they put their warning label on NA beers. I also get ID’d every time I buy one.

I think it’s called polydipsia: water intoxication.

Read the link old man.

Theoretically, it would take 56+/- of them to reach 0.08 BAC.

consumed fast enough that your liver can’t keep up?

I would think by the time you got to the 5th or 6th can, you would have metabolized what little alcohol was in the first :stuck_out_tongue:

I should have posted 56 in an hour. About 11.2 ounces per minute.

Hey, you didn’t say I was supposed to read it first!
