Can you judge NHC without actually attending NHC?

Since its actually close to me I would like to sign up to judge for the experience but I’m not planning to attend the conference. Is that possible?

I’m certain they will still value the help of a trained judge.  It’s just like any other competition at that point.

It’s been the case in the past, so I assume we will be doing the same again this year. Fred Bonjour can confirm this for us. I’ll page him now.  :slight_smile:

Yes, people who are not attending the conference can volunteer to help with the competition.  I’m sorry you’re not planning on attending the conference.

I think you can also take the BJCP scheduled exams as well without attending the conference.  Follow up with Sandy though - http://www.bjcp.org/exams.php

I thought about it but I’m not gonna fight for a ticket and finances may not allow it.

I judged the Ontario Brewing Awards this week. All the commercial breweries in the Province and I have to say, there has to be a lot of home brewers who can do much better than the pro’s. Much better!

Non-conference attendees can judge or steward 2nd round.

The exams also do not require NHC registration.

The conference website will lead you to links with all the info and direct you to the sign up sites.

Looking forward to seeing lots of old friends and familiar faces in GR. And meeting new folks as well!

In case you’re still interested registration never sold out and you can still buy tickets.
