Charleston SC for the weekend.....

so I’m taking the family to Charleston Sc and was hoping to get a little help in picking what breweries to visit.  Are the Brews Cruise’s worth the money?

I don’t live very far away so some of the Charleston beers make it to where I live.  Like Holy City & Palmetto.  I get the feeling they are the biggest ones…

Well I found this article…  10 Charleston Craft Beer Destinations - Eater Carolinas

From the article, I am leaning towards Edmund’s Oast & Palmetto.

Breweries:
COAST Brewing Company - 1250 2nd St N, North Charleston
Edmund’s Oast - 1081 Morrison Dr, Charleston
Revelry Brewing Co - 10 Conroy St, Charleston
Holy City Brewing - 4155 Dorchester Rd, North Charleston
Frothy Beard Brewing Company - 7358 Peppermill Pkwy, North Charleston
Freehouse Brewery - 2895 Pringle St, Charleston
Tradesman Brewing Co. - 1639 Tatum Street, Charleston
Palmetto Brewing Company - 289 Huger St, Charleston
Cooper River Brewing Co. - 2201B Mechanic St, Charleston
Southend Brewery & Smokehouse - 161 E Bay St, Charleston

Hey, I was just down there.  Palmetto makes great stuff, but it’s all in bottles or tap, no location to visit.  Edmund’s Oast is an absolute must see if you like Brett & sour beers at all.  I didn’t get the chance to see Coast or Holy City but they were on my list, if only I’d had the time.  I was not at all impressed with Westbrook.

Happy travels!

Ahhh, cool.  will probably skip Edmund’s Oast then.  ::)  But might not be able to, SWMBO loves the sours.

Palmetto has a tasting room. A pretty cool one with love music too

Late to this party, Freehouse, Holy City.
