And I realize now I have no idea how to clean lines etc, other than a bottle of BLC the guys at the LHBS told me I needed. My understanding was to mix up the appropriate solution in a keg and push it through the system with c02? Also, what about the faucets? Do they need special attention or is the BLC treatment enough?

Good references listed above. I would follow the directions on the BLC, plus remove and completely disassemble the faucets and make sure they are clean and in good condition.

Before its first use, its worth it to replace the beer lines.
When you pull apart the faucets, make sure any gaskets/o-rings are in good working order.

There are faucet wrenches but you might be able to remove them without the wrench. Try just twisting off by hand using a glove. If that doesn’t work you will need to use a wrench or another tool for removal.
Ran 2 gallons of BLC solution through it last night, let it sit with the lines full for 15 mins,then flushed with water. Looked good, there was a single flake of schmutz, that was all. The solution didn’t pick up any color. Lines are very clean looking. The gentleman I bought the rig from is a microbiologist (he power washes his trash cans on a regular basis), and took good care of it.
I tried to take the faucets apart by hand, no dice. Hopefully the LHBS will have the appropriate wrench.

I built one of these awhile back and love the thing. Great for running cleaning solution and sanitizer through keg lines without using CO2 or dedicating a keg.
It’s the same wrench used to remove the buttstock sleeve from an AR-15. So you don’t have to get a uni-tasker. 
And who doesn’t have AR-15s and kegerators? 8)
