First post, and search wasn’t letting me search for some reason. So apologies if this is one of those things already asked 100 times.
I was using Soda Stream, then got the adapter to a 10 lb CO2 tank, but then thought I’d get rid of the soda stream unit altogether. So I have a CO2 tank, the regulator, I think it is 3/16 ID - 7/16 OD hose, the ball cock and the cap for the bottle. It is about 10’ of hose altogether based on where I stashed the CO2 tank. The regulator goes to about 50 lbs before the pressure release valve kicks in.
I can’t get it to fizz the water like the soda stream hardware. I tried shaking, but on a 1 qt bottle I have to shake forever, and then the results are very inconsistent. My vision was just to replace the Soda Stream fizzer with this setup, but still be able to rapidly carbonate the water.
What am I missing?
