Counter Pressure Keg Filler

I just want to share picture of my counter pressure keg filler.
It took a days of thinking but finally it is here:

The hardest part was to connect Beer thread to TC connector.
Little bit of tubing did the trick.

Trying to figure out why you would need this?

Same here.  Is it to get carbonated beer from the bright tank to the keg or from a keg to another keg?

It started with filtering carbonated beer from bright tank to keg.
Right now it is carbonated beer from bright tank (no filtering) to keg.

Still not sure how it is any different thn a standard keg filler, except you have a pressure gauge attached.

Keg coupler is standard keg filler.
Pressure is relieved from the keg thru sample port on the other side of Tee.
I fill the keg by the lb instead when it is foaming.
It is more precise to my opinion.

Do you have any hidden treasures how do you do your process?

I currently just use two of these coming off a dual line.  Seems like it is basically the same thing as what you have there but less bulky.

St. Pats sells a beer thread (male and female) to TC fitting.

As always, I recommend googling about the company before doing business with them.

Funny thing is,mi have used them several times under caution but never had a problem with them, even when returning items from my own sizing screw up.

Thank you for letting me know.
I have found it.
I am aware of St Pats reputation.

I have seen those but was not sure how much counter pressure you can get with it.
Good to know it works.

Same here.

I’ve never had a problem with them either, but whenever I say they have a product I always include some kind of disclaimer or else threads always seem to turn into warnings about dealing with them.

I’m sure Mike Dixon remembers the days of rcb and St. Pat’s.  A number of us were called “Taliban” by the owner because we took issue with their business practices.  I was even banned from buying there, in spite of the fact that I had never bought anything from them!

Do you purge the kegs before filling? If so - do you have to buy a tap with a bleed-off or can you rig one up?

Yeah, you have to purge. I purge during cleaning/sanitizing.
