Denver Folks

Can you hook me up with your favorite beer store?

I am looking to haul some stash back over the hill,
and was pretty disappointed with the selection at the Applejack.

Close to Lakewood is a bonus.

Thanks in advance. 8)

Haven’t been to Applejack in a while. Used to be good.
There is a Tipsy’s superstore just off C-470 south of I-70.
What are you looking for?

Tipsy’s is overpriced (despite their “new lower prices” sign).  If you’re headed up I-70, Coconuts in Evergreen is pretty good.  If you want to take the time, circle around C-470 to Davidson’s or Lukas Liquors.

Sorry, you have to come downtown for anything good.

Two blocks east of the Cheeky Monk, there is a little liquor store named Argonaut…perhaps some of you have heard of it? ;D

Thanks very much!

Tom, not sure what I am looking for,
never really know until I see it.  Just looking for something new and fresh.
Mostly stuff with lotsahops.

Looks like Tipsys is on the way,
Guess I won’t mind it being a little overpriced…you know how tourists are. ::slight_smile:

Weather looks nasty but I better git home.

Cheers.

Beaver Liquors in Avon used to be good.

Pinnah, Ya should let someone know when you are on this side of the world…
lol

Mile High Wine and Spirits (Alameda and Wadsworth in Lakewood)
Coconuts (in Bergen Park – on the way home off I70 at Evergreen Parkway)

Man, you ain’t kidding about the prices at the Tipsy superstore…

That place has got to be the gaudy-est most over built liquor store I have ever been in,
no wonder the prices are so high, they need to pay for the building!
Who need to watch ESPN on multiple big flat screens and have piped in music outside whilst shopping for liquor? ::slight_smile:

I won’t be back there, but I did splurge for some Hop Head Red and a couple bottles of Old Crustacean.

Thanks again for the tips, next time I am over I can recall this thread,
and Vert, if I ever plan to head a bit north I will give you a shout.

Cheers eastslopers!

Well perhaps If we knew, we could head a bit south…lol

two choices: argonaut (on colfax) or daveco liquors (north of denver, just off I-25)

I tried to warn you
But Coconuts in Evergreen is probably your best bet next time, it’s not very far off of I-70.

Total Beverage is ok, Two locations. 104th and Washington and 92nd and Wadsworth.

DaveCo is big but the aisle are just wide. Total is huge but mosltly wine. I whish I knew
in advance, I have some time off this weekend and our brew club is meeting in Littleton Saturday
starting at noon. I would love to share a beer with a fellow Forum member.

Realize I am way too late to this party, but for future reference - in Lakewood, I highly recommend Mile High Liquors at the Whole Food Market in Belmar (Wadsworth just south of Alameda)  Fantastic selection, lots of Belgian and off the wall bombers. Not particularly cheap though.
