DME substitution related

i intend to brew Sierra Nevada Pale Ale Clone for which i have a recipe inspired by BYO magazine. i will be using dry malt extract powder (color 15 – 18 EBC) and crushed crystal malt grains (350 EBC). the recipe recommends 1 lb. crystal malt (60ºL) and 7 lbs. Breiss light dry malt extract (DME). can anyone suggest how shall i substitute this Breiss light dry malt extract (DME).with available dry malt extract powder

Oh, it appears your dry malt extract powder 15-18 EBC is a darker amber color than what you would get from Briess DME. So this question is mostly about color and depth of malt flavor. Based on that, I would recommend: use only 6 lbs of your dry malt extract powder, use only 0.5 lb crystal 60 malt, and add an additional 1 lb refined white sugar. That will come very close to your goal for SNPA.

Good luck and enjoy! Welcome to this forum!
