Mine loves porter, RIS, wee heavy, the sweet stuff, all in moderation. I read that dark beers in small doses are the best for dogs.

she’s a great lab. i’m her adopted owner-stays with us when neighbors go away. she’s 10 and may have cancer, so we spoil her whenever possible. She’s relentless-as soon as she walks in my house she looks for the treat jar, then grabs her beer bowl and brings it to me…i’d have a dog like her any day.
I once had to convince a herding dog to live with two cats. The stuff recommended by the vet to make the first few interactions easier was 18% booze. We put a tablespoon into a quart of water. The dog got into “i love you man” mode would lean against whoever was standing up or the wall. It was a bit funny, but we felt bad and didn’t do it again.
I feel very comfortable giving my 85 pound dog a handful of beer every couple of weeks.
