So, the wife brings home a DC25 Animal for Christmas, and I am all sorts of wigged out that she spent that kind of coin on a vacuum! But hey…she “got it on sale” :
And yea, we do a lot of vacuuming, with five household pets. We don’t have a lot of carpet, but many rugs and hardwood, and vacuuming was a real chore and took at least a hour and a half.
But, I now admit, this thing is so freaking cool, I really don’t mind the task anymore.
I kid you not, you can steer this sucker with your wrist and can get really good at it.
It fits right up against stuff, makes 90 degree turns, and sucks like a tornado.
I hope it lasts.
Mine is purple
but they look like this:
And ya’ll are thinking I coulda had a conical instead?
I read a profile of Dyson awhile back. Pretty interesting guy. Their first vacuums sold in the US were quieter, but apparently Americans equate loud with effective so they upped the volume.
I have the regular purple pet Dyson. I just am amazed at how much dirt we track into the house. Not
to mention we live on a dirt road so there is silt everywhere. My two cats have been shedding their
winter coat for about 5 years now. I got nothing but praise for Dyson… This era’s Edison…
Anyone ever use the air blade hand dryer in public restrooms? That thing is awesome.
Same here-4 cats and we’ve got 80 acres of farmland across the street to the west so the dirt really piles up. we’ve had our Dyson for at least 7 years now and it still does a great job.
Re: Roombas, the best tweet (twitter) I’ve ever seen had to do with a roomba and a pet. Wife tweets her husband, “Just came home. Dog had left a present on the floor just before the weekly deep cleaning cycle on the roomba. Yes, it’s everywhere.”
