Sometimes, I feel like this:
But then we’re here to RDWHAHB, no? So since I already HAHB, I’ll have a little bit of this Hudson Baby Bourbon. Cheers.

That’s one of my favorites…
Almost six years later, I still think this is my favorite:
Kinda sucks when it gets locked before you get your last word in.
FWIW I’m with you.
If we all always said what we thought, we’d sure not get along very well in this world. And look, we already don’t get along very well. There’s no sense of live and let live in the world; there’s no love, only hate and judgment. There’s a ton of things I don’t agree with that people believe, but I ain’t gonna persecute them for it unless they ask for it.
This is one of my all time favorite web comics. Only a small percentage of my friends get it but I almost fell out of my chair when I read the first time.

Put me down as “didn’t get it”. I couldn’t figure out what she wanted it for - I had some ideas but none of them really seemed that funny. I read the stuff below the comic and get it now, but it’s still not funny. Not “not funny” in a “you shouldn’t joke about that!” way, just kind of . . . Meh, whatever.
Glad you like it though. ;D
I’ve always believed if you have explain a joke it’s not funny. A toddler huffing paint thinner just made laugh. Probably a bit taboo for most people.
Thanks for trying though. 8^)

I didn’t get it right away. Thought, “why would she want the paint thinner…so she could sniff it?” Then my thought was confirmed in the writing below the comic. I’m in the same boat as Tom, not offended, but not really laughing either…
I like the oatmeal…
Beer 8)
Not the funniest selection but most appropriate if anyone wants to dissect it. ;D
FWIW I think people need more credit than you’re giving them. It’s a grab bag, but you can find love and kindness in the world same as you can find assholes, it just depends on what you want to see.
[quote]Good, now both y’all (ccarson and phil) shut up! … And ccarslon…come on dude, chill the f*ck out, man…

Where’s the love.
I’m promoting love by telling you guys to get over your differences and see each other as brothers and not enemies. The world would be a much better place if we all did that. But there’s always personal “beliefs” that blind people from realizing that.
And Phil, I agree, it does depend on what you want to see, what you’re looking for. Goodness and kindness exists in us all, it’s when we start focusing only on our differences when we can’t see the good in others. And it’s difficult to not focus on those differences, especially when they affect the lives of others negatively.
I love my wife but we have a difference of opinion all the time, just as Phil and I did. What I think is bad is when someone jumps into a discussion and tries (successfully) to stop it just because they have a difference of opinion. People can still show love and respect for each other, even though they disagree. In fact, respect for each other is the very thing I’m trying to point out with my dislike for the amount of excessive profanity being used these days.
I’m done. Cheers.
Was just trying to point out that you guys were heading down the wrong path. I’m glad you’ve (apparently) gotten over your differences, for now. And I’m sorry to have caused extra grief. I want to see people getting along, I just don’t like when people wear their beliefs on their sleeves, even though I do sometimes. It’s something I don’t particularly like about myself.
I hear ya Beersk. One of the great things about our community is that it’s filled with creative and smart people. Those types of people tend to be much more accepting of other peoples’ thoughts. However, I for one am of the opinion that if someone says something I disagree with, I say something. I try to keep things logical, well thought out, etc, but sometimes it doesn’t work.
I used to really not like ccarlson, for example but now I’ve learned to tolerate him
In all seriousness, I started this thread, not because I wanted to continue arguments or whatnot, but as a sort of self-reminder that we’re all friends here. I never want my posts to turn into cursing/spitting matches because it’s not constructive, but another side of creative people is that they can get carried away. I mean, how else do you think a pound of hops gets into 5 gallons of beer?
;D
Cheers.
Well said, my friend. And I agree with you. I voice my opinion when someone says something I disagree with, also. And I also try to keep it calm and reasonable, but sometimes it just crosses that line. Sometimes, it’s not enough to make jokes about it, you have to kick over some tables first.
