I just built a EBIAB system. After 4 brews the coating is coming off the element. Anyone else have this happen? Is it ok to keep using this? It was sliver when new now it’s copper. Thanks

You are fine.  Mine did that too in my RIMS system.  The coating is there to keep the element from oxidizing and turning either black or green between manufacture and use.

Huh, I use a Dernord Stainless element in my RIMS. I didn’t realize a copper element was a thing.
