Well I purchased a tap a draft system a month or so ago. I’m doing an experiment with it. I brewed 2 beers in one weekend. Both My Honey Wheat and a English dark mild. I’m splitting the batches in half and using table sugar to carb one half of each batch, and dme to carb the other half.
I used the calculator with brewers friend to calculate the amount of each I will need for each half of each beer
I would expect the only difference to be some sediment from the DME.
I have heard that dme produces finer bubbles. But we will see
I have an older one and two of the newer model T-A-Ds and like them.
I had a hellesbock in one of the new ones for nearly seven months. It had lost most of it’s carbonation, but the beer itself was still good.
