Famous Homebrewers

So who are some celebrities who homebrew?

I only know of Wil Wheaton x.com (from STNG)

Also, someone at the White House is brewing but I doubt it’s actually the president mashing in.

Alton Brown brewed an extract batch on Good Eats.  Don’t know if that counts.

I know at one point the model Kathy Ireland homebrewed.  I think there is even a picture of her with Papazian.

She’s the cover girl on an early 1990’s Zymurgy.

Unless he’s kept brewing and has done more than one batch for TV, I don’t think I could call him a homebrewer.  I’d call him a personality who demonstrated how to brew beer on  TV.

A couple of the local news anchors here homebrew, not nationally known, but i guess they are local famous people.

I heard the bassist for Internationally know post punk band Tatooed Grin is a homebrewer

Kyle Hollingsworth of the String Cheese Incident.  I don’t know their music, but I’ve heard he’s a home brewer!

Post punk? Hmmmm, never been described that way before… 8)  I prefer “alt-metal-progressive-rock-funk-blues”  ;D  And I do love to homebrew…

And anyone want to download our album for free, here you go!

Alright, I withdraw the post punk reference. But only because I can see how you are slightly more influenced by Mr bungle and cream then the sex pistols and the new york dolls.

I assume by fame the OP really meant celebrity.

He’s not really a celebrity, but the Chancellor of North Carolina State University is/was a homebrewer. See hobbies under the family tab.

as was the founder of the university of virgina, course he’s not alive anymore… as far as we know…

I think he’s alive and hunting vampires…

Wil Wheaton is an avid homebrewer and posts about it on tumblr/twitter/FB

There are a couple of major league pitchers who are homebrewers.  One is even opening a micro.  Only problem is, I can’t remember any of their names or even who they play for now.  I guess you could google it…

While not so famous, Major League Baseball relief pitcher Chris Ray from the Cleveland Indians (former Seattle Mariner) is an avid homebrewer.

Denny’s not famous?

I once won 2nd place audience choice best actor award in the Marin Short plays competition. Does that count?

I had a poem published in 6th grade.  Is being a “published author” enough?  I’m pretty sure the posters in the Post Office shouldn’t qualify me though.  ;D

Paul

Aisha Tyler. She and her husband homebrew on occasion.
