These connections get progressively more difficult to take on and off. Is there a recommended lubricant to use to keep them functioning well? I have keg lube; however, I was concerned with it’s melting point of 195F.

I’m not so sure on the concern from the “Ahem” suggestion.
I have a couple of quick disconnects (they are female) on my keg fridge that are getting very difficult to connect and disconnect too. When I saw the subject of this thread my first thought was "maybe someone can explain it.
I didn’t think about it any other way until Denny pointed it out. Come on guys, sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.

I admit that any of posts are sometimes difficult, but the petrol gel lube solves it every time for me. Some of the O-rings are a little thicker than others, too. I had been using colors to keep from accidentally putting the QDC on the wrong post on a keg in a cramped fridge, but some of the O-rings were just a bit more difficult to overcome.

OP mentions heat, so I believe he is concerned with the stainless disconnects used hot side.
Star san. You likely already have it nearby in a spray bottle…
I use these:
vs. the more standard cam-locks. I can attest they get kinda stuck sometimes, but a quick spray of star san is usually enough to free whatever is binding up.
If all else fails, the old garage trick of hitting it lightly with something works too. My guess is the locking balls don’t always disengage when the collar is depressed, a light tap with a hammer (or just lightly drop the hose on something hard) usually works as good as star san.
By the end of a double batch day, mine get a bit sticky. I think I’ll try to remember the starsan spritz trick between mash and boil. It’s always just the one that returns to the mash… the other one is always attached to a male.

Me neither. I use what Phil linked for my tuns and hoses.
My QDC’s for mash and boil hoses never stick to the point of being an issue. I always have the male part on the tun and the hoses are always female on both ends and I don’t lubricate them at all, other than what runs through in the brewing process and then on the clean up.
A drop or two of vegetable oil would likely work, but would go rancid over time and would need to be cleaned and replaced.
