My Fermzilla All Rounder was past the date to use, but I thought well just one more time. Like the guy loading the camel it was one too many and it blew. I did not lose my wort but I could have. I was there when it went.
So for those of you that think it will be ok to use the All Rounder after the date it should be retired. Just don’t.
How much pressure did you have on it? I think that date means you need to test it again….there are instructions how to do so…..sorry this happenned to you.
Interesting to hear. I would think that the real issue is determining that the vessel still holds pressure at the pressure fermentation level desired. I rarely go above 10-12 psi (with a spunding valve), so rupturing is not a likely occurrence in my set up and I pressure test it regularly by fermenting in it.
