A quick question: Is there a good way to get the Fermaid into solution? It seems to just clump up and float.
I typically pull a half cup or so of must and dissolve in that before adding to the fermenter. You could also do that with a blender if you needed to. The little extra O2 would be taken up by the early fermentation.
The stuff does clump up easy even from humidity. I have sprinkled it very carefully across the surface with a spoon.
You should re-hydrate the nutrient first in must or non-chlorinated water first. Add to must after degassing.
