I wonder if Tom’s finished the PhD in biochemistry yet, and what the dissertation is on.
He’s running for AHA governing board and if you look at his bio there, it says…
“I’m currently in the Biochemistry PhD program at the University of Washington, where I use beer yeast and computers to study proteins involved in human disease.”
Hah! Good times! I didn’t go to judge this year, but maybe next year. Any word on the winner for this year yet?!
I’m wrapping things up now and working on my dissertation, if I’m not finished by NHC I’m going to be in trouble with my wife at the very least. The main part of it is going to be on protein mutations that cause ALS/MND/Lou Gehrig’s Disease.
