I’ve been thinking that it would be pretty cool for all of the forum members attending the NHC to make a secret marker or something to attach to their NHC badges that identifies themselves to other akamai forum members, but leaves everyone else either clueless or wondering…
Maybe we could just put a small sticker on the badge that says 4M.
Then the fun part will be trying to figure out who you all are. 8)
When you register, you can get “flags” that stick on your registration lanyard that say things like “Speaker” or “Local Committee”. we’ve asked the AHA to make ones that say something like “Forum Member” but no word yet if that will make it into the budget.
I was thinking maybe we could just do it like a secret society thing ourselves. No cost to the AHA. Just a neat little extra thing attached to our badges. Maybe something that’s available locally everywhere that we could bring with us to Seattle. If someone asks, we invite them to check out the forum.
I figured I would resurrect this post and see what, if anything, people were doing to identify themselves as forum users. I could run to the store and get round stickers, and drop them off at the sign in counter with a sharpie so people could write the 4M on there. I was planning on showing up early just in case another steward is needed for the first session.
Family matters kept me at home. Major disappointment here. I did watch the live feed on justintv/brewingnetwork last night though. Looked like a lot of fun.
Just made it home. Having that much fun for so many days is really tiring.
I will try to post some pctures tomorrow.
It is always fun to see my friends at each conference and it was a pleasure to meet Ron, Sean and Keith. I look forward to next year.
It was an outstanding conference this year, and it was great seeing old friends and meeting new ones. I’m still in the Seattle area visiting family. Got a 6 Hour drive to home tomorrow.
