Just got off work (graveyard guy), its my Friday. Cracked open a “best by 5/15” London Pride.
I almost spotted.

I havent had Fuller’s LP in a while but the first time I tried Fuller’s Vintage Ale was mail ordered from Belmont Station years ago. It was awesome.
Never had their Vintage Ale, but London Pride is one of my favorites. I can’t quite nail it on my own system, but I’ve gotten close.
Best flight ever was one to Europe where they had it in cans.
One of the best beers I ever had was London Pride on cask in London. Delicious.
Any idea how old the Vintage Ale was? I got a bottle of 2011 for my birthday and I’m wondering whether I should lay it down for a few years or drink it now.
Neither. Ship it to me and I’ll make sure it’s still good

I believe it was 1997. I remember it being very good fresh and I did age a few. MiGht have had it once or twice since then.

You can go either way. It will be great now. I bought a 2004 vintage at the brewery shop and drank it last spring. It was still very, very good.

I had 2 pints at the Mawson Arms, which is attached to the brewery. I never wanted to leave. The brewery tour is highly recommended, but it is a bit outside of the city center.
