Gotta give props to My Beautiful Wife

anybody else have an art habit?

Does photography count?

100% I love your lava pics. anything recent?

20+ years as graphic designer count? I used to work a lot of gouache, water color and acrylics but haven’t done much of that in years. Still do a little drawing here and there with pencil.

Have you ever seen the pen and pencil drawings that Peter Falk did?

Been working on DSLR HD stop-motion videos.  A whole nother creature.  Not happy enough with what I’ve got so far to upload to Vimeo yet.  Soon.

Congrats to your wife Mort!  That’s really cool.

Carl, looking forward to your stop-motion videos.  I’m looking for a housing for my DSLR and looking to do the same w/ some underwater action.  However, I’m a little nervous about taking my DSLR camera underwater!

Looked at her Etsy portfolio and like her style. I also noticed the first thing that sold was the chicken print. There are people out there that will buy the hell out of chicken art - and that’s the key. Sugar skulls, chickens, pigs, owls (especially owls) … find out whats trending and concentrate on that and she’ll sell the hell out of some prints!

Nope

She does really nice work

That’s a fantastic chicken. Fine specimen!
I like her work.

She does some great work. I like her Asparagus piece quite a bit.

I’ve dabbled in fractal art a bit myself, but like most of my hobbies I haven’t spent much time on it since my son was born. I never really turned the corner to where I considered myself really good, but I do have a few pieces that I’m very happy with.

I was just kidding, Carl. Photography is art because its all about seeing, and seeing is what is most important about art.

That said, I don’t really consider brewing an art. I know a lot of people do, but to me it is a craft, not art.

What about interpretive dance?

Not my thing, but hey, it looks good on you Jim!  ::slight_smile:

Your fractals are cool Eric.  Check out sugar skulls.

I don’t take my Canon underwater Jeremy, but there have been times when it rained so hard on a time lapse setup that it felt like I was underwater.  It sucks to spend hours on a setup and get washed out just when the best part starts to happen. (Some of the coolest places on this island get storms that dump 4"+ per hour sometimes).

My wife says she wants to see this. “AHA interpretive society dances about beer”

NHC 2014 forum meet up?? Haha.

You will not be seeing me dance, interpretively, or otherwise.

I won’t be there but go for it.

Art and craft are synonyms.
