I the NFG here… I’ve been a Machinist & Fabricator for 40+ years. I call myself a Metal Manipulator. I’ve built over 75 custom Hotrods & Motorcycles. Drag Racing Motorcycles, Custom Frames for Flat Track racing. I also do custom gunsmithing on a limited basis.
So I have a very good friend who has been brewing for well over 30 years. He also both an Accredited National and International Beer Judge, I’ve built many Brewing Stands and different equipment for his home setups. Not to mention the several Copper Pot Stills & Columm Stills I’ve fabricated for him. I like to drink Old Fashions & Cold Beer. I also really like my Rootbeer too.
3 years ago I bought a Home Rootbeer making kit that made 2 gallons of rootbeer. I set it up in the backroom at my shop. I followed the directions very closely and in a couple hours I had 8 - 2 litre bottles sitting inside the dark shower stall waiting on them to get carbonation. The next day as I sat at my bench at lunch break I heard what can only be described as 8 very loud booming sounds coming from backroom. I ran in there and I now had a bathroomcompletely coated in rootbeer syrup. I still get a big smile thinking about it. When I called my friend he reminded again about bleeding off the excess pressure occasionally during the next couple days. ♧ Brad ♧
