A new brewing buddy has joined the AHA community. Powered by decades of trusted homebrewing knowledge, AHA Assistant Brewer is here to help with your homebrewing questions.

There’s just one small problem: AHA Assistant Brewer is kind of a mouthful. It needs a proper name and a face.

AHA members are invited to submit a name idea, mascot design, or both. Clever, creative, nerdy, fun, and sensible ideas are all welcome.

The winners will receive two tickets to Homebrew Con 2027 and the everlasting satisfaction of helping name or design the AHA’s newest brewing helper.

Submissions are due by Sept. 8, 2026.

I read through the guidelines and it states if submitting a graphic to “use AHA brand colors (see below)”, but those colors are not listed anywhere. Maybe I missed them?

I’m nostalgic, so I’m going with Charlie.

That’s a great choice, but I am sticking with Denny Mini-Me. Denny has been patiently answering homebrewers questions in various online forums for at least 25-30 years now. Charlie was an amazing early pioneer, but never had the online creds of answering questions, which I assume is what this AI bot will do.
