Hey everyone, going to be making my first cider soon. I plan on just using some apple juice from a local grocery store and some SafCider yeast. Anything else I need to add? I’ve heard of people using campden tablets. Should I use that? Potassium or sodium version, and how many?

Cider and yeast are all you need. Campden is not necessary especially with commercial juice. Be sure the juice doesn’t have sorbates in it.

Be sure to rinse the bottles off and sanitize the top portions before dumping in the fermenter.
