Our Asheville Mountain Ale & Lager Taster (MALT) monthly meeting will be at The River Arts District (RAD) Brewing Co. (https://theradbrewco.com/, 1.5 miles from the conference center) on Wednesday before the conference. All conference attendees are welcome to join us. We meet downstairs and it is good form to buy your first pint (and tip) upstairs, as you will need a glass to share some homebrew. Heck, bring some of your own. Meeting typically starts at 7:00, but for this group, we will call it 6:00. Also, there is excellent pizza across the street at All Souls Pizza.
Our local Asheville Tourists (the High-A Minor League Baseball affiliate of the Houston Astros) are playing most of the week at home and they have Thirsty Thursday’s where one can enjoy $1 regular beer, $3 craft beers, and $1 Coke at the newly renamed Home Trust Park (most locals still call it McCormick Field, but progress…) - 6:35 Game time on Thursday, June 18th - tickets available here: Asheville Tourists Promotions | Tourists
MALT collaborated and brewed with local breweries to make some “special” beers for attendees that visit their locations. These include Salt Face Mule, The Bier Garden, Highland Brewery, The RAD, 12 Bones, The Wedge and Diatribe. Stop in and taste something good!
