Anyone here got any good lessons learned / best practices for growing hops in the Alabama River Region?
There was a commercial venture but I am not sure how it went. I haven’t heard anymore about them.
I believe I heard that the folks behind Harvest Roots (which closed literally the day before we arrived back Alabama 
) had tried hop farming before getting into kombucha.
But I don’t need commercial yields — just a reasonable harvest from a couple of bines in the back yard.
If you take care of them and water the heck out of them when it gets dry they do OK. I have grown a bunch of them before, enough to do some wet home homebrews. Never had them analyzed or anything
