i love cartoons!!

My name is Weaze, I’m 34 years old, and I love cartoons! American Dad, Spongebob, Family Guy, Simpsons, King of The Hill, Beavis and Butthead. This afternoon, I let out the gayest little squeal you ever did hear, when I saw Cartoon Network is show old Loony Tunes again. Coyote and Roadrunner, Marvin Martian, Foghorn Leghorn…This stuff is great!!!
Am I alone, or does anyone else feel the same way?

Squidbillies. Need I say more?

Kids these days, though - have you seen that crap they watch these days? My wife’s cousin’s son spent the weekend here a while back and he wanted to watch “Tex Avery.” “Oh, awesome!” I thought to myself - he was a great cartoonist, I’m happy the kid is watching something great like that instead of (ugh) Dragonball Z or some such nonesense.

No such luck - he meant “The Tex Avery Show.” Check out this drivel:

No wonder the world is going to hell

I believe he means on the household intranet. Linux based media server?

Yes, internal media server (mac mini). I received the Looney Toons Golden Collection DVDs as a gift and ripped them all to the server for easy access. best. gift. ever.

Ah, neat. Didn’t know they were available as a collection.

Bugs and Elmer in Rabbit of Seville

This one’s for you Weaze

Porky Pig - My Favorite Ham!

I read yesterday that Seth MacFarlane is negotiating to redo the Flintstones.

I read that yesterday too.  He’s got to be so filthy rich.  He’s got 3 shows in Fox’s Sunday Night lineup: Family Guy, American Dad & The Cleveland Show.  Now, if he pulls this off, he’ll have 4.

And not only is he the creator & producer, but he does multiple voices on each show.  He’s raking in multiple paychecks, hand over fist.

I doubt Fox would pay him that way, unless it’s a union requirement. I’d guess he gets a single nice paycheck and the VO work is a part of the job description, as it were. Still, yes, he makes more money that probably a few of us put together.

Re-worked Flintstones, that would be interesting. Think they’ll include commercials? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dry97FwTUv4

I knew someone was gonna post that video.

How 'bout these:

Bugs is my hero.  ;D

One of my favorites.

Has no one watched Bob’s Burgers?  Its on Fox and fairly new.  It cracks me up the way The Simpson’s used to (let’s be honest, The Simpson’s has been pretty lame for a few years now) and the way Family Guy & American Dad still do.

Andy - not Futurama?  With a Bender avatar I’d have expected that to be on the list.  That’s one of my favourites.  Watched all the new episodes when I was in the States.  Glad it’s back.

Any Bugs is good as others have said.  Still watch Classic Scooby-Doo with the kids.  Penguins of Madagascar is pretty darn good for a new one, sometimes watch that with the boys too.

Everyone should do themselves the favor of watching Archer, its got to be one of the top 3 funniest shows on tv right now. H Jon Benjamin also does the voice of Bob from Bob’s Burgers, another show that’s growing on me.

Speaking about “new” cartoons, I still think spongebob is one of the most original and funny compared to the rest of the crap on today. it totally reminds me of stuff like hanna barbera and looney tunes.

I dunno, maybe its just me getting old but stuff like inuyasha, naruto and pokemon just don’t hold a candle to some of the older anime stuff like Battle of the Planets, Starblazers, etc
