I'm back, I hope

Hi everyone, I know I’ve been absent for a while but I’m going to make an effort to spend more time on the forum.  We’ll see how it goes

I’ve marked everything as read, so if there is something you asked me about and I never responded, point me to it.

Hey there! Glad you’re back. Figured you were busy

Glad to see that. See you in GR!

Good to have you back, Tom!

Welcome back.  Have you seen Carl?

Welcome back!  I’ve been a member over two years but just recently started getting on the forum.  You all are awesome!  I reside in Aurora, CO.  Looking forward to being here!
Cheers!

My guess he was hit on the head with a coconut or eaten by a shark.

Guy gets Brewer of the Week…goes MIA.  :P  Looking forward to hearing from you.

Pretty sure Puna was so disappointed after the superbowl, he dedicated himself to Uncle Jesse.

you were gone?

 j/k welcome back.

Welcome back Tom.

Anyone else feeling oddly comfortable with your chosen habitat lately?

When Tim Teebow comes back next year and wins MVP Carl will be back to tell us “I told you so…” :stuck_out_tongue:

That’s funny  ;D    Pigs will fly loop-the-loops and the Cubs will three-peat in the World Series before Tebow wins an MVP.

Tom, how do you feel about those who want to replace Romar?

;D  Go Dawgs!

(good to have you back)

cheers–
–Michael

Welcome back! Surprised to see you back so soon!

nice to see you back tom

Ah…Moi!

Good to see your cute little beard back in the avatars Tom. How’s the pub brewing going?

Glad to see you’re back in the saddle again!

I haven’t seen Carl, wasn’t he supposed to be visiting Seattle some time for a distillers conference?

I’m fine with replacing Romar, because what is Romar anyway?  Oh, google knows.  I don’t follow basketball, it is the lowest of all sports, far far below the second lowest (which is baseball of course).  I mostly only watch the top four sports: football, hockey, rugby, and hurling/camogie.  I like to put on golf when I want to take a nap.  Seriously, it’s very soothing.

Things are still busy, but I gave notice at Bluebird so I won’t be brewing 2 bbl batches much longer.  Maybe one more to finish training my replacement, then I’m done.  I’m still working at UW and have not given notice there yet, but that should come in the next couple of months.

We signed a lease for 4000 sqft of warehouse/offices in Redmond, 3000 will be dedicated brewing space and 1000 for the tasting room.  I spent last weekend tearing out drywall and scraping up floor tiles, we took over a ton of debris to the dump on Saturday.  We’re going to be putting in a 15 bbl steam fired system which should get delivered at the beginning of July.  We’ve got some time to get everything done, but there is a LOT to get done.

The last couple of months have been busy between the two jobs, courses I am taking online (http://www.pdx.edu/cepe/the-business-of-craft-brewing), and putting together a business plan, looking for space, etc.  But things are falling into place.

I will definitely be in GR, but before that I’ll be in Denver for CBC - anyone else going?  Keith?  Ron?  Sean?

Sean, how are things going in Leadville?  I want to come visit before CBC, will that work?

Sure are a lot of guys going pro. That is a step up the ladder for Tom, nano brewer to brewery owner.

+1 - If I’m just turning on the TV to have something in the background, nothing beats golf. It’s really mellow, and the scenery is usually amazing.

Welcome back, Tom. Good luck with the new brewery!
