I'm brewing on national TV tonight

Back in the winter we were contacted by a producer from The List, a Scripps syndicated show. They wanted to do a segment on homebrewing. They filmed a little at our house, including mash-in, but left before the sparge because of some breaking story. We just got word that they’re showing our segment TONIGHT! The show is The List, at 7:00 here (Cincinnati). The stations that carry it and their times are on their website, http://www.scripps.com/brands/the-list. The exact time of the story should be 7:16-7:24. If you’ve ever been interviewed by TV you know that they ask some strange questions. I hope it came out well. I also really hope they didn’t edit it in a way to make it sound like I said something really stupid.  :stuck_out_tongue: I don’t know if it will be available on the web after the airing, but I’ll try to find out.

Too cool!

Cool, Rob!  Wish I could see it.

Very cool !

Very cool! I can pick it up in Baltimore, Rob.  I’ll try to check it out. (We usually watch the Philly stations, since we get both.)

Your a beer star!

Very cool!

So…how did the segment turn out?  I have seen some interviews or news articles where the announcer/photo description leads in saying something that’s totally backwards or flat out wrong - like “here’s how they then distill their beer”. - I hope they didn’t do that to you!

The last TV interview I did, I mentioned that the founding fathers brewed.  When the story was on TV, all they talked about was how I looked like George Washington!  :o

It was a major let down. For all the time we spent with them we got about 30 seconds, and none of it about why we brew. Oh well, it was a good ad for the LHBS. No video on-line (at least yet), but there is a brief description at http://www.thelistshow.tv/the-list/localist/cincinnati-localist/around-cincinnati-craft-beer-summer-sweets-get-them-while-you-can-dishcrawl-delights.

It was short but it seems that’s the kind of segment it is.  I liked it but yeah, too bad it wasn’t longer.  I was able to see the video by clicking on the picture at the top of the page you hyperlinked, but had to turn my phone horizontal to see the “play” arrow.

That was pretty short - but it was ranked number 1 among the items on the lst!
