Inkbird ITC-308 temp controller

Well my Ranco temp controller went out (my fault), so I decided to go with a cheap Chinese knockoff.  I do like it has a couple of more features than the Ranco and you don’t have to wire it. Will see how long this one will last.  It was rated pretty well.  I use it to control the temperature of my beer fridge.

I’ve used the Inkbird for about 7-8 years and it works great.  My Inkbird accuracy is +/- 1°F;  I wish it was a little closer, but it’s still a nice controller.

I used these as a replacement for Ranco and another brand, expecting them to crap out (I have two extra in the box) - and they work great and outlasted other brands, despite being less expensive!  My back up set have not been needed.  Pleasantly outlasting my expectations.

I bought a Ranco 2 stage already wired from MoreBeer ~15 years ago, IIRC, for my fermentation fridge and it’s still going strong. They’re pretty bullet proof IMO. After the 3rd Johnson Controls analog controller , I use for my Keezer failed in the same time frame, I went with the Inkbird ITC-308 and am very happy with it. Even if it should fail, it cost about 1/3 what a single stage analog controller would cost today.

I also recently got an InkBird INT-11P-B wireless meat probe and am quite impressed. This outfit makes some great products!

I have had an Inkbird controller for several years. It was an indulgent upgrade since I had a working Johnson controller I just found clunky to use, but zero regrets - it’s so easy, and from my various cross-checks it seems to be accurate.

So far so good.  Like the alarm feature and compressor timer  feature.  Have it set for 46F. Pretty much gives me 50F beer in my glass. I have it Velcroed to the side of my fridge
